WC-10Ni thermal spray powder is a material commonly used for surface hardening and wear-resistant coatings. It is composed of tungsten carbide (WC) and 10% nickel (Ni) and is widely used in industrial components that require high wear resistance and corrosion resistance. Below is the production process for WC-10Ni thermal spray powder:

• Atomization: In this process, molten metal is ejected to form tiny droplets, which rapidly solidify into powder.
• Chemical Treatment: Chemical treatment typically involves processes like dissolving oxides, precipitating from the solution, and thermal treatment (calcination). Due to the porosity in each particle, the powder resulting from oxide reduction tends to have a sponge-like structure. Precipitation produces powder with a narrow particle size distribution and high purity.
• Solid-State Reduction: In this process, selected ores are crushed, mixed with reductants such as carbon, and then processed in a furnace to form sponge metal cakes. The sponge metal is then crushed, separated, and screened to produce powder. Additionally, the purity of the ore input into this process determines the purity of the resulting product.
• Spray Drying: Fine raw materials are prepared in a liquid-based slurry (water or solvent) and sprayed into tiny droplets by high-speed gas or a rotating wheel. The liquid droplets evaporate through hot air or other process gases, and the agglomerates are collected.
